Why Divine Days?

Let’s take a dive into the actual intention of Divine Days and how it corresponds to this mission of mentorship and empowerment. The word “divine” means of, or like God. It also can describe something or someone that is good, or excellent. It can be used as an adjective, which I just gave you an example of, as well as a verb. Using it as a verb means to discover, intuit, or to predict something through supernatural power, intuition, or simply insight. I feel as though this is more than fitting for the mission we are establishing together as one here at New Solid Rock Church Ministries. Every day that God gives us above ground is divine and should be used to honor our Lord and Savior. By honoring our Lord and Savior, I feel as though it’s our duty as individuals to offer guidance, assistance, resources, time, and effort as we see fit in the name of Jesus. Divine Days is developed for this exact purpose, and everything is carried out with the thought of being Holy and intentional. As we all know, it takes a village, so let’s come together and help this program flourish.

Why Now?

It’s 2026, and things have shifted tremendously today in the lives and environments of our youth and young adults. We are losing a lot of them   to various things. They are faced with many distractions and negativity, which happen to be facilitated by sin. The media has begun to display less positivity for our youth to reference back to for insight and guidance. This negative influence has unfortunately begun to overshadow our schools and communities as well. What’s dangerous about it all is that the media has become the biggest influence for a lot of our youth. We have less entertainers, athletes, and celebrities that are promoting positivity, yet they are gaining notoriety at an alarming rate through ungodly practices and behaviors. It’s time to start pouring positivity, love, energy, and effort into our youth and young adults right now! We must move with a sense of urgency and purpose. It’s time to help them unlearn and relearn some things. Unity and faith are key components in this process and we at Divine Days are dedicated to the process in every aspect.

Our Objective

The objective of Divine Days is to empower first and foremost. We want to restore or build self-confidence within everyone involved. Let’s start with the definition of empower; it’s to give someone the authority and power to do something. This is critical because the youth need to understand that they are in control of their decisions, and what they do with their time in the 24 hours that we all receive from God. The goal of empowering at Divine Days is to make everyone stronger mentally, more confident, offer support, and help them transition into a positive, relentless, and ambitious mindset. We want them to know and truly understand that it is not far-fetched to be able to achieve greatness and knock down barriers that harbor generational curses or habits.

Emotional & Physical Support

In 2025, myself and other parents noticed that many kids have become introverts these days. Isolating yourself is not always best. It’s also evident that many kids do not feel connected to parties in their households enough to vent about certain issues. This can be detrimental to our youth, in some cases not feeling worthy. We’ve seen an increase in cyber bullying, physical bullying, and peer pressure. A study showed that 58% of the teens in the United States have experienced cyber bullying at some point just in 2025 alone. Some of these cases have unfortunately resulted in suicide. Divine Days would like to step in and do our best by trying to fill these voids. We will attempt to do so through in-person workshops, life skills trainings, occasional outings, guest speakers, weekly progress call-ins to parents/children, and other methods as we continue to grow the program.

Consistency & Stability

It’s a proven fact that our youth perform and operate more effectively and efficiently when having both, consistency and stability. School can be a scary place for some, and unfortunately home can be as well. Inconsistencies and being unstable on a day-to-day basis can interfere with our youth’s potential. However, offering them a program to focus on every month can potentially provide consistency and stability for all attendees. Knowing that someone cares, having a place to feel love and support, and developing discipline, will be vital in the development of our youth and their future.

Cognitive Thinking

Security

Cognitive thinking isn’t just one skill. It’s a collective of interconnected mental skills that work together to produce positive and vital skillsets.
  • Memory – processing, storing, and retrieving information that can be utilized for decision making and growth
  • Perception – the way our youth interpret and organize information
  • Reasoning & problem solving – being able to apply logic and make connections to find tactics for challenges they will endure in life
  • Language – the ability to understand and express yourself properly and respectfully
  • Knowledge Acquisition – we want all involved to be able to translate everything learned at Divine Days to their own understanding through experiences and learning
Our youth want to feel safe. What better place than Church to build this trust. Attending workshops here at New Solid Rock Church Ministries will not only be secured, but also may influence those attending to want to come and worship each Sunday. Moving with Christ is moving with promise.

Expectations From Parents

Divine Days can only address what we know initially. This is a joint effort between us and the parents/guardians to allow the best opportunity for this program to be effective and an all-around success. If there are any specific issues that you would like help with involving the attendee’s mental state or behavior, please do not hesitate to bring this concern to our attention. We are here to help as much as possible. Ultimately, we encourage all parents to attend at least one church service, so that you can witness the love, time, and attention that will be poured into our youth attending the program. We also ask that you provide an update on the progress and productivity monthly through forms provided by us, so we can work together to target needed areas of improvement.
